Fareham Borough council now have a twitter account! According to a recent press release from the council.

It is called FarehamBC and will be used primarily as a source of information for fareham people. Local events will be posted and items which will be of interest to the public will be on there.

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward,

said: "Following us on Twitter makes the council more accessible to the

public. Not only can they find out about forthcoming events and items

of interest but it also gives residents the opportunity to interact

with us, by posting tweets back."

It will be interesting to be able to tweet to local councillors - particularly if it's about some issue that is important and to receive feedback.

Tweeting is very popular now and a good way to keep up to date with local people.
