Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service’s annual Ladies Driving Challenge is back! Women across the county and beyond are being encouraged to get behind the wheel and help raise valuable funds for The Fire Fighters Charity on the memorable date of Sunday, 10 October 2010 or 10/10/10!

Once again the popular Challenge will be held at the Farnborough Air Show site and this year’s event boasts more fire appliances than ever before, with no less than six operational fire and rescue vehicles for contestants to drive. The fantastic day out will give women of all ages the chance to drive all sorts of vehicles - including HGVs, JCBs, buses, cranes, fork lift trucks, Hiab grabs, tractors, snow ploughs, recovery vehicles, and even a hovercraft.

Contestants are expected to flock from all over Hampshire and neighbouring counties to test their driving skills on the range of challenging vehicles, whilst being looked after by firefighters from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Date: Sunday, October 10, 2010
