Man goes missing while shopping in Fareham today, Saturday 26th February 2011

Police are growing concerned for the welfare of a man who has gone missing while shopping in Fareham town centre this afternoon, Saturday 26th Feb 2011.

Michael Wichman who went missing in Fareham at approximately 3.30pm Sat 26th Feb 2011. If you think you have seen him please call Hampshire Constabulary on 101.

The missing man, whose name is Marcilino Michael Wichman, was last seen in Fareham town centre at around 3.30pm today.

Mr Wichman is 46 and is described as:

• Mixed race

• 5ft tall

• Having a 'Grade 1' shaven head

He was wearing white trainers, dark blue jeans, and a black jacket and was carrying a small dark coloured rucksack. He is also described as ‘unstable.’

Shortly before he went missing, Mr Wichman made a withdrawal at a bank and it is possible that he used this money on train, taxi or bus fares.

Police are appealing to taxi drivers and anyone who used public transport in Fareham today to contact them if they saw anyone matching Mr Wichman’s description. It is possible that he may have travelled to Southampton where he has family and friends.
