Fareham Heathens have been Fareham’s local rugby team since 1974 and has a reputation for friendliness and excellence. I t has a wide range of fans and support around Hampshire and also has a huge range of team ages from 6 to 16 year olds. Their playing ground and training can be found at Cams Alders Recreation Centre
In recent years the team has gone from strength to strength from promotion and league winners. This year senior side only just last season made it into the big league are working there way up and are doing well for a newly promoted team and the youth players are going for trials at professional Rugby teams.
The sponsors of the club are Julius Rutherfoord & Company Limited who support the under 6 to 11 age groups. The club is not well know for making changes but they have made cultural changes in the sense of communication with the supports and having every team from 6 to 16 with its own manger and letting parents get more involved in the youth set up

Interview with Mark Dunning
Mark Dunning who has been with Heathens since 1987 talked about his plans for the future are to have a bigger player base which will benefit the youth teams.
He also talked about his own experience at the club and discussed how it feels working for Heathens by saying its interesting, fun and hard work as well but always try’s to make sure the players are having fun while playing for the club
Also when talking about the future he hopes to get players that join from the age of 6 thru the youth team then with a deal they have with Harlequins to get some of those players that have worked there way up into trials at the club and into Harlequins academy.
