Fareham’s Ashcroft Arts Centre has bagged yet another top TV

comedian in Mark Watson, due to perform on June the 14th.

Bristol-born comedian, author and environmental campaigner

Mark Watson arrived into the world the day before Valentine’s Day, 1980.  His first gig was back in 2002 - the same

year he won the Daily Telegraph’s last ever Open Mic comp… sort of making him

the ultimate comic champ!

These days he’s the multi-award winning comedian and host of

ITV’s Mark Watson Kicks Off, Dave’s One Night Stand, BBC's We Need Answers,

Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and star of cult Radio 4 series Mark Watson Makes The

World Substantially Better – and now he’s back on tour. The Mock the Week

regular will be performing his most surprising, and funniest material. If you

don’t know already, come and find out why his shows at the Montreal, Melbourne,

Sydney and Edinburgh Festivals are always total sell outs.

Having personally seen Mark perform several times I can say

he’s one of these comics who manages to portray a certain innocence still.  Any cynicism seems to be born from genuine

confusion - which works well with the oft-bemused expression he imparts upon

his audience.  But don’t be fooled.  Mark might not flaunt his IQ shamelessly but

it doesn’t take a genius to work out he’s a clever bloke.  Incredibly funny too!

Tickets available online here or in person from the Ashcroft

Arts Centre – 16 years and over only and £15 a ticket plus booking fee.  It will sell out quickly!
