Police Appeal For Witnesses To A Fight In Titchfield

Were you in the Southampton Hill or Titchfield Square area
-
Titchfield Village by Alex Castellá
of Fareham last Saturday (September the 4th) night when a fight broke out?
It seems the fight temporarily broke up around 11.30pm when
two men walked away along Southampton Hill and another three were picked up by
a car. However, the five met and fought
again on Southampton Hill around 12.10am.
Those particular five men involved, ages ranging from 18 to
42, were arrested on suspicion of several differing offences and then bailed
until later this Autumn. The police want
to stress though that the initial breakout involved lots of men and it is hoped
that local people coming home from one of the many pubs in Titchfield’s central
area will have seen something they might want to report. This will in turn help the authorities
determine what happened.
Fortunately no one was seriously injured and only cuts and bruises
were sustained. Detective Constable
Katie Wakefield pointed out to The News, in this article, that although they
take reports of violence very seriously, Titchfield is a small village and has
a quiet reputation and “this kind of incident is rare.”.
