Crofton Saints Youth Football Club was originally formed in 1990, they are based in Seafield Park, Stubbington but cater for boys and girls from the Fareham Borough from the age of 7 to 18 years old. The Club has grown significantly since its inception to a position where it has 23 Teams and 3 coaches, Charlie Charles, Brian Haines and Graham Callaghan, They compete in the Saturday Mid Solent II a side and Mini Soccer Leagues as well as the II a side Portsmouth and Southampton Sunday Leagues; they also encourage their players to participate in District and Hampshire Cup Competitions... The Crofton Saints Youth Football Club meet Saturdays 10am to 12pm, Seafield Park, Bell Davies Road, Stubbington. The Under 12's Crofton Saints Youth Football Club kit, various events throughout the year is sponsored by Dulal Ahmed owner of The Sea of Spice Indian Restaurant, West Street, Fareham who donates over £1000 each year towards sponsor. To celebrate the success of the Under 12's team this season they were treated to a Indian Buffet at the Sea of Spice on Sunday 4th September, at the end of the evening the Captain of the Team George Ferguson Presented Dulal Ahmed 2 trophies which had been won by the team during the season in the Under 11 Tournament, first Trophy was Under 11 Tournament Winners Sponsored by R.N.F.A 2011 and the second one was U12 G.B.Y.F.C 2011 and Wealth Management St James Trophy Runners up. The Team comprises of Liam Charles, Jake Grant, Owen Williams, Owen Rushworth, Luke Edwards, Daniel Francis, Max Tanner, Matthew Riley, George Ferguson, George Higgins, Harry Haines, Ben Manville, Kieran Callaghan, Albert Fowler, Tom Cohen, Billy Feben, Alfie Frampton and Zach Robinson. Mr Ahmed from The Sea of Spice has now sponsored the team for two years in a row, he says "congratulations on coming 3rd in the league this year, all the best for the next season". Mr Ahmed went on to say that he sponsors them as he is a big football fan and wishes to help and support the local Community, to encourage young people to enjoy a sport which is active keeps them fit, helps them with discipline and make new friends.
